Yachting New Zealand branding. Winner of competition to design a symbol for the national body. The symbol had to encompass board sailing, small yachts, keelboats, mono and multi-hulls, the America’s Cup class and cruising yachts. Brief also requested a NZ flavour, hence bow wave referencing a koru.

 
 

Lidgard Rudling Sails – later Halsey Lidgard Sails. Originally the symbol grew out of letters ‘L’ and ‘R’ but more significantly represent a mainsail/headsail and spinnaker form. Need for simplicity for distance recognition on sails
